Dheepti Spices

Dheepti Spices is located on Emperor Street. It sounds like a grand name for a street, but it is actually a pretty normal, busy lane. Our place is at No. 1, right at the start. The first thing you notice when you walk in is the smell. It is a heavy mix of turmeric, chili, and maybe some cumin. It gets into your clothes and stays there all day. We spend most of our time sorting through raw spices and getting them ready for packaging. It is very manual work. We have a few small machines, but a lot of it is done by hand, checking for stones or bits of stem that shouldn't be there. The shop isn't big, and it is often cluttered with large jute bags leaning against the walls. We do not have a fancy showroom. Customers usually just come to the side door or call us up. We have a small desk tucked in the corner where we keep the ledger and the phone. It can get quite dusty with all the spice powder in the air, so we wear masks most of the time. The sun hits the front of the building in the afternoon, making it quite warm inside. We aren't a massive factory. We are just a local spot where people can get their spices without any fuss. We focus on the quality of the seeds and just let the product work for itself.
