You can find us at 42/6 on Tenkasi Road in Thoppupatti. This is where we run A1Palm Sugar. It’s a straightforward operation and we’ve been at this same spot for a long time. The road can get quite busy with trucks and buses passing by, but we stay focused on our work inside. Making palm sugar isn't a fast process, and it requires a lot of patience and heat. The air around the shop often has that sweet, burnt smell that comes with the cooking process. It’s a small place, and we don't have any high-tech machinery. We do things the way they’ve always been done around here, using our hands and simple tools. The building isn't anything special to look at, just some bricks and a roof that keeps the rain off our stock. We sell the sugar to people who stop by or to local shops in the Thoppupatti area. It’s hard work, especially when the weather is humid, but it’s the life we know. We don't have a website or any fancy marketing stuff; we just rely on the sugar we make. People know where we are if they need us. We just keep our heads down and keep the pots boiling. It’s a humble business, but it keeps us going and we're part of the community here. Every batch is a bit of work, but we are used to it.
