The building is old, with high ceilings and thick walls that stay cool even when it’s hot outside on Pudukottai Road. We have a lot of history here. If you look at the wooden shelves, you can see where they’ve been worn down from years of use. We don't go for anything modern or flashy. The old ways of doing things still work for us. Every morning, we unlock the big front doors and let the light in. North Street is usually busy with people going to work or the market. We see the same faces every day. It’s nice to have that connection with the neighborhood. We handle various goods, and our inventory changes depending on what’s available or what people are asking for. There isn't a complex system here. We know where everything is kept, even if it looks a bit cluttered to an outsider. My sons help out with the heavy lifting and the accounts.
