S. K. Traders

Our place, S. K. Traders, is located right on Ricemill Street in Puliamanglam, at number 4/80-B. It is a street that usually smells like grain and dust because of all the activity nearby. We have been operating out of this building for a good stretch of time now. Inside, it is mostly storage space filled with sacks and various items we trade throughout the week. It is not a modern setup with glass doors or air conditioning, just a solid old building that stays relatively cool even when it is sweltering outside. Most of our days are spent checking inventory and talking to the drivers who bring in the loads. Sometimes the neighbors pop in just to chat or ask about prices for the next month. We keep a pot of tea going in the back for anyone who stops by for more than a few minutes. Dealing with the paperwork is the part I like the least, but it has to be done to keep the business running straight. The floor is concrete and a bit cracked in the corners, but it holds up under the weight of the goods we move in and out. Puliamanglam is a quiet enough town, but our little corner of Ricemill Street stays fairly active from dawn until we lock up the shutters in the evening. We just try to get the day's work finished so we can head home to our families.
