Leela Store

Leela Store sits right on Voc Street, exactly opposite the bus stand in Ponmalaipatti. It’s a very busy location because of all the people coming and going from the buses. We see a lot of travelers and locals every single day. The store isn't very big, but we try to keep the essentials in stock. Because we're across from the bus stand, it gets very dusty and loud. We have to wipe down the shelves pretty often. I've worked here for a long time now. The street is always full of life, especially in the mornings when everyone is heading to work. We don't have any fancy displays or bright lights. It’s just a simple shop where you can grab what you need quickly. Sometimes people just stop in to ask for directions since we're so close to the transport hub. We know most of the regular commuters by face. Ponmalaipatti is a good community, and being on Voc Street puts us right in the middle of it. We open early and stay open until the last few buses have left for the night. It's a lot of standing on your feet, but that's just the nature of a retail store. We don't use any high-tech systems, just a notebook and a pen for most things. It works for us. We're just a small part of the neighborhood here. We enjoy the daily chats with the drivers and the passengers passing through while they wait for their departures.
