Pothigai Super Market

Pothigai Super Market is over on Agatheesan Nagar Rd. You can find us at number 8513 in the Kollapuram area of Thuraiyur. It is a decent sized place for this part of town. We carry a lot of different items, from bags of rice to soap and snacks. People from all over Kollapuram come here because it is easier than going all the way into the main city center. The aisles are a bit narrow, so you have to watch where you are walking if someone else is coming the other way with a basket. We try to keep things organized, but on busy Saturdays, it can get a little messy on the shelves. That is just how it goes. The staff is mostly local kids and some older folks who live nearby. We do not have those self-checkout machines. We prefer talking to people while we ring up their groceries. It is more natural that way. The building has been here for years, and we have added a few sections to it over time as we needed more space. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to use flashlights for a bit, but the customers don’t seem to mind much. Thuraiyur is a good place to be. We just do our part by keeping the pantry staples ready for whoever needs them. It is not a complicated business, just a lot of lifting boxes and stocking shelves.
