Our workshop is located at No 21 in the Developed Plots Estate over in Thuvakudi. If you know this area, you know it is where most of the technical and engineering work happens around here. The plot we are on has plenty of room for our equipment, though it gets a bit cramped when we have several projects going on at the same time. It is a very industrial feel, with the sound of grinding and welding often in the air. We are just a group of people who know our way around engines and technical parts. There is no fancy showroom here. When you visit, you will likely see us in our work clothes, probably busy with a repair or looking over some blueprints. The Thuvakudi sun can make the metal roofs quite hot in the afternoons, but we have fans and keep the water cold to get through it. We handle a variety of engineering tasks, some simple and some a bit more complicated. We don’t promise things we can’t do, and we tend to be pretty blunt about how long a job will take. It’s a straightforward way of working that seems to suit the people in this estate. Most of us have been in this line of work for a long time, so we just focus on the task at hand and try to get it done right.
