Krishna Bhavan Foods & Sweets

At 402, Big Bazar Street, things are always a bit hectic. Krishna Bhavan Foods & Sweets is right in the middle of all that noise. We wake up early to get the stoves going because the smell of the food needs to be ready by the time the morning crowd starts walking by. It is a small place, and the kitchen takes up most of the room. We don't have fancy seating or a big menu with pictures. We just make the snacks and sweets that people like to eat every day. Sometimes we run out of certain items by the afternoon, and we have to tell people to come back tomorrow. That’s just the way it is when you make things fresh. My clothes usually smell like ghee and spices by the time I go home. We have a few workers who have been frying and mixing for years, and they know the recipes by heart. We don't use measuring machines for everything; we go by look and feel. The tiles on the floor are a bit worn down from all the feet walking in and out. It’s a loud, warm, and busy environment. We don't do much in the way of decoration, maybe just a few calendars on the wall. We just want to make sure the food tastes right and that people get their change back correctly. It’s a simple business on a very busy street, and we enjoy seeing the regulars come back.
