Super Pazharasam

Super Pazharasam is our little spot on Salem Main Road in Musiri. If you are driving through Trichy, you probably pass right by us. It’s a hot part of the country, so we mostly deal with people who are thirsty and need a break from the sun. The shop is small and open to the street, so we get all the dust and the breeze that comes through. We have crates of fruit piled up and the sound of the mixer is pretty much constant throughout the afternoon. We don't have a big menu or anything complicated. It’s just us doing what we’ve done for years in Musiri. The road outside is always full of trucks and buses headed towards Salem. Sometimes the drivers stop for a quick drink before they keep going. We know most of the people who live around here, and they stop by to chat for a few minutes while we work. It’s a very simple setup with a few benches for people to sit on if they aren't in a hurry. The paint on the walls is peeling a little from the humidity, but it doesn't bother anyone. We spend our mornings getting the fruit from the market and our afternoons cleaning up the sticky counters. It is a lot of standing on our feet and dealing with the heat, but it’s a living. We just keep things moving and try to stay cool ourselves. It’s just a normal day at the shop.
