You will find us down at 46/210 Pudukkottai Main Road in Trichy. The area is called Sembattu and it’s a pretty lively place to be doing business. At Dhanas Spices and Commodities, we spend most of our time dealing with bags of stuff. Spices, mostly, but other commodities too. It gets quite dusty around here when the trucks are loading up but that’s the nature of the work. We aren't a huge operation with a glass building or anything. It is just a practical space where we can get the orders sorted and out the door. The traffic on the main road can be a bit of a nightmare during the afternoons. Sometimes the heat in Tiruchirappalli makes the work slow going but the team keeps at it. We have been in Tamil Nadu for a long time so we know how the local markets work. There is no point in pretending we are something we aren’t. We just handle spices and make sure the paperwork is done for the private limited side of things. Most days are just about checking the quality and making sure the weights are right. It’s basic work but it keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday. If you are ever driving down towards Pudukkottai, you’ll probably pass right by our spot without thinking much about it. It is just a regular building filled with the smell of dry goods.
