Crp Exporters is located at No. 132 Bharathasan Street in Thuvakudai Malai. Being out here in Thuvakudi means we are close to some of the bigger industrial areas. It’s a dusty place, especially when the big trucks roll by on the main road. Our office is a plain building that we’ve been using for several years now. Inside, it’s mostly just desks, chairs, and a lot of boxes waiting to be labeled. We spend our mornings going through the manifest and seeing what needs to be moved out. It’s a lot of physical work combined with office tasks. The sun hits the front of the building in the afternoon, making it quite hot, so we usually keep the shutters halfway down. We don’t have any fancy decorations on the walls, just a calendar and maybe a map. Our neighbors are mostly other small businesses or workshops. We all know each other and help out if someone needs a hand with a heavy load. It’s a hard-working area. We don’t spend much time on the computer unless we have to. Most of our coordination is done through phone calls or just talking to the drivers who come by. We just aim to get the goods out on time and keep the records straight. It’s a simple, honest way to spend the day. We finish up when the work is done.
