Our office is at number 86 on Madurai Road and it is a fairly easy place to spot if you are driving through. It is an older building with high ceilings and thick walls which actually helps keep the place a bit cooler during those long hot months we get here. We have been in this spot for quite a while so the neighbors all know us and we know the local shops where we get our daily supplies. The front room is where we have our desks set up and the back room is full of old files and some spare computer equipment that we haven't decided what to do with yet. There is a small window that looks out onto the street and we often find ourselves watching the buses go by when we are taking a minute to think. We don't have a big staff here just a few people who have been working together for years and we all know how the others like their work done. The floor is made of old stone that has worn down in the spots where the chairs roll and the ceiling fan has a bit of a wobble that we have just learned to ignore. We don't really go for anything corporate or formal here so we just dress casually and talk to each other plainly. It is a simple life and a simple way of doing business where the focus is just on finishing the daily tasks and making sure everything is in order.
