City Stores

Our shop is at No 34 A on B B Road in the Subramaniapuram area of Madurai. We are pretty close to the TVS School, so we see a lot of parents and kids around the Sundarrajapuram neighborhood. It’s a bit of a local spot, not like the big shops in the center of town. We’ve been here at 625011 for quite a few years now. The shop is just a regular room filled with stuff. We don’t have any air conditioning, so we just keep the doors open and hope for a breeze. It gets dusty from the road, but we try to keep things clean enough. I usually sit on a stool near the entrance and watch the world go by. It’s a slow kind of life sometimes, but there is always something to do, like checking the inventory or cleaning the counters. We don't have any big goals, just staying open and making sure the people around here can get what they need without having to travel too far. It’s a neighborhood store, plain and simple. We know the people who live on B B Road and they know us. There isn't much more to it than that. We just come in, do our time, and close up when the sun sets.
