Chakara Engineering

You can find Chakara Engineering at 2/85 in Kailash Nagar, which is over in Kattur. We’ve been in this spot for a long time, and the neighborhood knows us well. It’s a quiet area for the most part, which is good for focusing on the technical side of things. We do a lot of small-scale engineering work here. The shop is filled with various bits of metal and old machines that we still use because they work better than the new ones. It’s just a few of us working here every day. We don’t wear uniforms, just whatever is comfortable and won't get caught in the machinery. Kattur has a nice feel to it, and we like being part of the local community. We don't have a website or anything like that because we usually just deal with people who walk in or call us up based on what they've heard from others. Our work involves a lot of measuring and cutting, and sometimes it takes a few tries to get things exactly right. We don’t mind the extra time if it means the job is done. There isn't a lot of "corporate culture" here. We just show up, do the tasks on the list, and head home to our families in the evening. It’s a simple life, and we are quite content with how things are going at Kailash Nagar. It’s been home for our work for years now and we like it.
