Balaji Essence Mart

Balaji Essence Mart is located on Big Sowrastra Street, right in the Tiruchirappalli Fort area. If you know the Big Kamala Street intersection, we are basically right opposite that. It’s a busy part of Trichy, and there is always something going on outside our door. We sell different kinds of essences and food stuff that people use for cooking or making sweets. The shop has been here for quite some time, and the shelves are packed with bottles and jars. It smells like a mix of vanilla and spices when you walk in, which I guess is normal for a place like this. My father used to handle things, and now I spend most of my day here. We get a lot of locals who are making things for festivals or just their daily meals. The street is narrow, so parking can be a real headache for anyone driving, but people find a way. We don't have a website or anything like that, just the physical shop where you can come and see what we have. Sometimes the labels on the bottles get a bit dusty, but the stuff inside is what matters. We keep a ledger for the accounts and use a small fan to stay cool when the heat gets bad in the afternoon. It's a simple life running a mart in the heart of the city. We just open up, serve the customers, and go home when the sun sets.
