Amir Hardwares

Amir Hardwares is located at 63 Railway Colony. We are very close to the Holy Cross Convent, so most people use that as a landmark to find us. Our shop is a bit old and the shelves are quite crowded. We sell all the basic hardware like nails, hinges, and hand tools. It’s a family business, so you will usually see the same faces every time you walk in. We have been here for many years. The floor is made of old concrete and has a few cracks, but it doesn't bother us. We don’t have any air conditioning, so we just keep the doors open to let the breeze in. It can get a bit loud with the trains nearby, but that’s just life in the Railway Colony. We don’t spend any time on fancy marketing or displays. Everything is just kept in bins and boxes where we can reach it. If you need a specific size of bolt, we might have to search for a minute, but we usually find it. We know most of our customers from the neighborhood. It’s a quiet and simple way to work. We don't have any big plans to expand. We just want to keep the shop going and help the people who live around here. It is honest work and we take it one day at a time. That is the way we have always done it.
