Naresh Iron Store

Our shop, Naresh Iron Store, is located on Bank Road in Tikamgarh. It’s a busy street with lots of people moving back and forth all day. We deal with all kinds of iron goods, from rods to sheets and everything in between. The shop isn't very big, so we have to stack things carefully to make sure there is enough room for people to walk through. It's heavy work and my back usually aches by the end of the day. We get a lot of local builders and farmers coming in to get what they need for their projects. We’ve been on Bank Road for quite a while, so most people know where to find us. We don't have a computer system or anything; we just write everything down in our ledgers. It works for us and we haven't seen a reason to change it. The floor is usually covered in iron filings and dust, so it’s not the cleanest place, but it’s an iron store, after all. We try to keep the inventory organized, but sometimes things get buried under other things. When the weather is hot, the metal gets warm to the touch, so we have to be careful handling it. We don't do much fancy talking or sales pitches. We just tell people the price and help them load their carts. It's a simple way to make a living and we've been doing it this way for years now.
