Uttam Galva

Our place is out here in Chandla, which is a bit of a drive for some folks. We are located in this part of Madhya Pradesh, serving the local area as Uttam Galva. It’s a small town vibe here, and everyone pretty much knows everyone else. Our building is simple and doesn’t have any fancy decorations. We have a yard where we keep some materials and a small office space for the administrative side of things. It gets quite dusty during the dry season, so we’re always cleaning off the desks. We aren't a big corporation with hundreds of employees; it’s just a handful of us making sure everything runs okay. We spend our mornings checking the inventory and our afternoons dealing with the local logistics. There’s no big marketing team behind us. We just rely on the fact that we’ve been here for a while and people know we do what we say. Sometimes the power goes out, but we just wait it out or use the lanterns. It’s just the reality of working in this region. We keep our records in big binders and use an old computer for the rest. If you happen to be passing through Chandla, you might see us. We don’t have any grand mission statements or anything like that. We just wake up, come to work, and go home to our families at the end of the day. That’s how life goes for us. We just keep at it.
