If you’re driving through the Thrissur district and pass through Peruvamkulangara, you might see our sign for Sheeba Enterprises. We’re right near the Ollur P.O., which makes it easy for the mailman to find us. This isn’t a high-paced city office. It’s a local business where we know most of our neighbors by name. We handle a variety of things here, mostly acting as a middleman for products people need around the house or for their small businesses. The shop is a bit cramped because we like to keep a lot of stock on hand. Sometimes the boxes pile up near the entrance, but we know where everything is. My brother and I run the daily operations, and we’ve had the same assistant for five years now. He knows the stock better than we do. We don’t do much advertising; word of mouth in a place like Ollur is usually enough. People stop by to chat as much as they do to buy things. It’s a friendly atmosphere, even when we’re busy. We take care of the paperwork in the evenings after the shutters are halfway down. It’s quiet then, and you can hear the birds outside. We’ve built this place up slowly, one day at a time, and we’re happy with how it turned out. It’s honest work in a place we call home, and we wouldn't have it any other way. We just keep doing what we do every single day.
