Kas Traders

Kas Traders is located in Amballur. Our place is right near the Amballur Temple on NH-513. Because we are so close to the highway, we get a lot of travelers and truck drivers stopping in to see what we have. Trading is a busy business, and we are constantly checking the prices and looking at what is coming in on the next delivery. The sound of the highway is always there in the background, a constant hum of tires on the asphalt. We also hear the temple bells throughout the day, which is a nice contrast to the traffic. Our shop is simple, with shelves lining the walls and a heavy wooden counter where we do all our business. We’ve had to fix the roof a couple of times after the monsoon winds got too strong, but the building is still standing strong. It’s mostly just a few of us running the show. We don’t have any corporate training or big speeches; we just learned by doing. Some days are slow and we just sit outside on the bench watching the cars go by. Other days, we don't even have time to eat our lunch because there are so many people coming through. We just take it as it comes and try to keep the inventory sorted so we can find things quickly. It’s been this way for years and we don't see it changing much. We just keep the ledger updated and wait for the next truck to arrive.
