My Wed Wedding Cards

Our shop is on the first floor of West Fort Plaza on Mg Road. If you come up the stairs in West Fort, you’ll see our door with some wedding card samples taped to the glass. Inside, it’s mostly shelves filled with different types of paper, from heavy glittery cardstock to plain white sheets. We spend our days sitting with people who are getting married, looking through big albums of designs. It gets a bit crowded when a whole family comes in to pick a card, and everyone has a different opinion on the color or the font. We have a small table in the corner where we do the final counting and packing. The smell of fresh ink and paper is pretty strong in here. We often have bits of paper scraps on the floor by the end of the day because we’re always trimming things to size. MG Road is always busy, so we hear the traffic all day long through the windows. Sometimes the delivery of new paper stock gets delayed because of the congestion outside, which can be frustrating. We try to keep things moving so people get their invitations on time. It’s a lot of manual work, checking names for typos and making sure the gold foil didn't smudge. We don't have a big staff, just a couple of us doing the layouts and talking to the customers who walk in from the plaza.
