Garammatka India Private Limited is basically just us working out of the Puthussery house in Chembuchira. It’s located in Mattathur, which is a part of Thrissur. We aren't in a big glass building or a corporate park. It is a real house where we set up our office space to get things done. We’ve lived around here for a long time, so setting up the company in this area made the most sense to us. Most days start with tea and then we dive into whatever work is waiting. It isn't always exciting, but it's what we do. We handle the administrative stuff and all the requirements that come with being a private limited company. The neighbors know us, and it feels more like a community than a business district. Sometimes the power goes out, or the rain makes it hard to hear ourselves talk, but that’s just life in Kerala. We aren't interested in using big words to describe ourselves. We are a small group of people trying to make a living and keep the business side of things organized. We chose this spot because it's home. You won't find a fancy lobby here, just a few desks and some filing cabinets. We focus on the practical side of things. It’s simple and it works for what we need. Sometimes we have to drive into town for supplies, but we always come back here. We do everything ourselves, from cleaning to filing the taxes. It's just a regular local business.
