Alexandria Computer Centre

Alexandria is a big place but our little corner at Alexandria Computer Centre is pretty quiet most of the time. We have been working with computers here for a while now. It started as a hobby because we liked taking things apart and seeing how they worked. The shop is full of old cables and monitors that we should probably sort out one of these days. There is a specific smell of electronics and dust that you get used to after five minutes. We spend a lot of our time sitting at the back bench with a screwdriver in hand. Some days are slow and we just sit and talk about the news or what’s happening down the street. Other days, everyone seems to have a broken screen or a slow laptop at the same time. We don't have a big fancy sign out front, just the name. Most people find us because they live nearby or heard about us from a neighbor. It’s not a corporate office with suits and meetings. We wear jeans and drink too much tea while we work. The floor is a bit uneven and the front door squeaks every time someone walks in. We know our regulars by their first names and usually know what’s wrong with their machines before they even tell us. It’s just a normal shop doing normal work every day. We aren't trying to expand into some giant company, we just like fixing things.
