Maintance Engineer

I work as a Maintance Engineer in the Tuticorin District of Tamil Nadu. My name is C. Athimurugan, and my father is R. Chidambaram. Our home and workspace are at 2/71, Teachers Street in Pudukottai. It is a small place, and most people around here know us quite well. I’ve been doing maintenance work for several years now, mostly helping out with repairs for local businesses and residents. It isn't a job that makes you rich, but it keeps me busy and I enjoy the challenge of figuring out why a machine stopped working. I don't have any big corporate backing or a fancy office with air conditioning. My tools are my most important possessions, and I try to take good care of them. Some days I have to travel to nearby villages to look at equipment, which can take a lot of time on the road. The sun gets very hot down here in the south, so I usually try to start my work as early as possible. I don't use any promotional language or try to act like I’m something I’m not. I’m just a local guy who knows how to use a wrench and a screwdriver. People come to me when they have a problem, and I do my best to solve it for them. It’s a simple, honest life in Pudukottai, and I wouldn't have it any other way.
