Laxmanraja Salts

We are located right on Kamaraj Salai, not too far from Kamaraj College. If you know the area, you probably pass by us all the time. Being at 8/34L means we see a lot of students and traffic every single day. The sun gets really hot around here, and working with salt means we are always dealing with the grit and the white dust that covers everything. It’s not a clean office job, that’s for sure. Most of the time, we are just moving bags or checking the piles. Laxmanraja Salts has been in this spot for a bit, and we’ve gotten used to the noise from the main road. It can be a bit loud with the buses going past toward the college. My hands are usually dry from handling the product all day. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. It’s just a few of us here making sure the orders get where they need to go. Sometimes the delivery trucks get stuck in the narrow parts of the street, and we have to help guide them out. It’s just part of the daily routine. We open up early and stay until the light fades. It’s honest work, even if it’s repetitive. We just keep our heads down and do what needs doing. The salt business is steady, even if it’s not flashy. We finish up each day tired but satisfied with the work done.
