Kunera Agro

Kunera Agro sits out in Savalaperi, right on the Thoothukkudi Main Road at number 85. Being on the main road means we see a lot of trucks and tractors going by all day. It’s an agricultural area, so everything we do revolves around that. We aren't sitting in a fancy glass building. Our place is more of a warehouse and a small office where we keep our records. It gets quite hot here in the afternoons, but we just keep the fans going and carry on with our work. We deal with farmers and people who live off the land. Usually, our boots are a bit muddy from being out in the fields or around the storage areas. We don't have a marketing department writing things for us. It’s just us trying to keep the supplies moving and making sure we have what people need for their crops. The rhythm of our work changes with the seasons. Sometimes it’s incredibly busy and other times it’s just us maintaining the equipment. We’ve lived in this area for a long time, so we know most of the families around here. We talk about the rain and the soil more than anything else. It’s a simple business but it’s important for the local economy. We just do our part day in and day out without making much of a fuss about it.
