Amman Masala

Amman Masala is located at 57A in the Wahid Building. You'll find us right on the Main Road in Puliyangudi, which is where we have been for years. It's a loud area with all the traffic passing by, but it helps people find the shop without a map. We have been working out of this space for a good bit of time. The Wahid Building is old but sturdy enough for what we do. We mostly handle things ourselves. It gets dusty, and the smell of the spices stays in your clothes all day. My family helps out when it gets busy. We don't have a big team or anything like that. Just a few of us making sure the bags are filled and the orders go out. Puliyangudi is a small place, so everyone kind of knows where 57A is on the Main Road. We don't spend money on fancy signs or radio ads. People just know us by the name Amman Masala. Sometimes the power goes out and we just sit outside in the shade until it comes back. It's just part of life here. We aren't doing anything groundbreaking. We just sell what we have and keep the books as best as we can. Working on the Main Road means we see a lot of faces every day. It's a simple life. We start early and lock up when the sun goes down. That's how it's always been at our little spot in the Wahid Building. It’s just us doing our best every day.
