We aren't a big corporation or anything like that. We are just local farmers. Raising goats is a lot of work, especially when the weather gets too hot or too dry. We share tips on what to feed them and how to keep them healthy. The office on Pettai Street is where we meet up to discuss sales. Usually, a few of us are there in the afternoons after the morning chores are done on the farm. We don't have any fancy marketing people. We just talk to each other and figure out the best way to move the livestock to the markets. Mannargudi is a place where many people do this kind of work. We started this company because it was harder to do everything alone. Now we have a bit more say in things. There are stacks of feed bags sometimes sitting near the door. It smells like the countryside, which is fine by us. We keep track of who has how many goats and when they are ready. It's a simple life, mostly spent outdoors. We just want to make sure the work we do pays off for our families at the end of the month. Working as a group makes the hard days feel a bit easier for everyone.
