Thiruvarur Goat Farmers Producer Company Limited is based at No.2 / 51 on West Street in Thiruthangur. We are in the Thirunellikaval Post area of Thiruthuraipoondi. This is a place where a lot of us come together to handle the goat farming business. It’s not just one person; it’s a group effort. We spend our days coordinating with different farmers in the region. Most of our time is spent talking about feed, health of the herds, and where the animals are going next. The office is pretty small and simple, located right there on West Street. We don’t have much use for fancy decorations. We’d rather be out looking at the goats or helping someone with a fence. Thiruthuraipoondi is a rural area, so we all know each other. We started this because it made sense to work together rather than everyone doing their own thing separately. It helps with getting better supplies and finding fair prices. There is always a bit of dust on our clothes and mud on our boots. That’s just part of the job when you deal with livestock and farmers all day. We keep the records in big ledgers and try to make sure everything adds up at the end of the month. It’s a lot of talking and a lot of manual labor. We just want to keep the goat farming going in this part of Thiruvarur without any unnecessary complications. We just do our best.
