Kasavumaalika Handlooms

Kasavumaalika Handlooms is located at Thiruvallam Junction, right along the Kovalam NH Bypass Road. We also have a presence near Venkatala in Yelahanka. The shop is filled with different kinds of handloom fabrics. It’s a bit of a mix of textures and colors when you walk in. We spend a lot of time organizing the stock and talking to people who stop by. Since we are on the bypass, we see a lot of traffic passing through every day. The shop isn't a modern showroom, it’s more of a traditional place. We don't use much fancy lighting or displays. We just put the handlooms out so people can see them. Sometimes we have to move heavy rolls of cloth around. It can get a bit dusty with all the fabric, but we try to keep it clean. We have a few people working here who really know about weaving and cloth. We don't have a big marketing department. People usually find us because they are driving by or someone told them about us. It’s a very hands-on kind of business. We enjoy being at the junction because it’s easy for people to pull over and take a look. We just focus on the handlooms and making sure we have what people are looking for. It’s a simple, local business where we just do our work every day without any big corporate polish. We just like handlooms.
