Sijugopalakrishnan

Down here at Seena Bhavan in Venjaramoodu, things move at a bit of a different pace than the big cities. We are located in Aliyadu, right near the post office, so it’s pretty easy for people in the neighborhood to find where Sijugopalakrishnan runs things. It is basically just a local house that we use for our daily work. You won’t see any big neon signs or glass doors around here. Most of the time, the windows are open to let the breeze in because Kerala gets so humid. We spend a lot of our hours just sitting at the table, going through whatever needs to be finished for the day. Sometimes the internet acts up when it rains heavy, but we just wait it out and get back to it. It’s a simple setup we’ve got. We know most of the people who live around Moolayam, so it feels more like working among friends than a strict business environment. We don't really follow a corporate handbook or anything like that. If something needs fixing, we just fix it ourselves. There’s a lot of green outside and it’s generally peaceful, except for when the local buses go by. We’ve stayed in this spot because it’s home and it’s where everything started. We keep our doors open for anyone who needs to stop in, and there’s always someone around to help out with whatever comes up. We don't mind the slower pace at all.
