Modern Book Centre

Modern Book Centre is located in the MBC Building on Gandhari Amman Kovil Road. If you are looking for us, we are right across from the ICICI Bank in the Pulimoodu area. This part of town stays pretty active, especially during the middle of the day when everyone is out running errands. The building itself is easy to spot once you get onto the main road. We have been working out of this space for a while now, and it has become like a second home to us. There is always a lot to do, between sorting through new arrivals and keeping the shelves looking somewhat decent. It is not the biggest place in the world, but we make the most of the space we have. Most days, you will find us behind the counter or back in the stacks trying to clear some room. We don't really go for anything flashy here. It is just a straightforward bookshop where people can come in and look around without being bothered too much. Sometimes the noise from the street gets a bit loud, but you get used to it after a few years. We know most of the people who work in the offices nearby and the bank staff who come over for a quick look. It is a good spot to be in, right in the heart of things. We just keep our heads down and do what needs doing every day.
