Godwin Provision Store

You can find Godwin Provision Store at 47/2, Mahathma Gandhi Road in Vanchiyoor. It’s a small shop, honestly, but we pack a lot into it. Every morning starts the same way—unloading the milk crates and stacking the bread before the first commuters start walking by on MG Road. It’s a bit cramped inside because we try to carry everything people might need, from soap to snacks. Sometimes the crates pile up and I have to move them around just to let someone through the aisle. Vanchiyoor is a busy neighborhood and we see everyone from students to grandmothers every single day. We don't do any big marketing. The sign outside is a bit faded, but people know who we are. I’ve been behind this counter for so long I can tell you where every single item is without looking. It’s a lot of standing and a lot of talking. We hear all the local gossip and the news of the street. Some days are long, especially when the heat is high and the fan is just moving warm air around. But it’s a good life. We are just a local store trying to keep the shelves full for the neighbors. Nothing fancy about it, just a lot of bags and boxes and everyday faces coming through the door. We enjoy the regular pace of the shop.
