Global Sources India is over at Tc 25/3472(2) in the Urra-76 area on Uppalam Road. We are right by the Statue landmark, which is a very busy part of the city. Being so close to the center of things means there is always something going on outside, whether it is a loud march or just the usual rush of people going to the government offices nearby. Our office is up a flight of stairs that are a bit narrow and steep, so carrying heavy stuff up is always a bit of a chore for us. Inside, it is mostly shelves and desks covered in files and ledgers. We act as a middle point for a lot of different things, so our days are filled with sending emails and checking tracking numbers. It is the kind of work that requires a lot of patience. The air conditioning is a bit old and makes a rattling sound when it is on high, but we couldn't survive the afternoon heat without it. We are a small team, and we have worked together long enough that we don't need to say much to know what needs doing next. We usually eat our lunch together at the back, talking about everything except the work we have to do. It is a busy life in a busy part of town, and we just try to stay organized so nothing gets lost in the shuffle. It is not a glamorous job, but it is our daily life.
