FILIYA CONSTRUCTIONS PRIVATE LIMITED

Filiya Constructions Private Limited is run out of Sopanam in Aruvattukonam. We’re tucked away in Mannankonam, Thiruvananthapuram, which is a nice break from the main city traffic. The office is basically just a room in the building where we can sit down and look at the accounts. Most of the time, we aren't even there; we’re out seeing how the foundations are coming along or arguing with a supplier about a late delivery of bricks. Construction is one of those jobs where you think you have a plan, and then everything changes by ten in the morning. We’ve learned to just go with it. We don't have a big marketing department or anyone to write fancy brochures. We just talk to people plainly and tell them what is possible and what isn't. The Thiruvananthapuram weather can be a real pain, either it's too hot to touch the metal or it's pouring rain and the site is a swamp. We just keep at it though. Being in a place like Mannankonam, you get to know the neighbors and the local shops pretty well. We are just a bunch of regular people who know how to build things and aren't afraid of a bit of hard work. That’s really the whole story of who we are at Filiya. No frills, just bricks and mortar and a bit of sweat. We enjoy the work, even when it’s difficult and the days are long.
