We are set up right across from the Sastha Temple in Poonthura. The building is called Albins, and you can’t really miss the SM Lock area if you are familiar with Thiruvananthapuram. Being a Nidhi company, we deal with a lot of local folks from the neighborhood. Most of the day is spent handling small savings and helping members with their paperwork. It’s a very local thing. We know most of the people who walk through the door by their first names. The office at TC 69/2234 gets a good bit of foot traffic because of the temple nearby. It’s not a huge office, just a practical space where we can sit down and talk to people about their accounts. Sometimes it gets a bit noisy outside with the temple festivals or just the general street sounds of Poonthura. We don't mind it much. There is always someone here to answer questions, though we might be busy with a ledger when you walk in. We try to keep things straightforward and honest with everyone. Banking rules can be complicated, so we spend time explaining things simply. It is a steady job, and we take it seriously because it’s the community’s money we are looking after. The humidity in Kerala makes the ceiling fans work overtime, but that’s just life here. We’re just a small team doing our part in the local economy and making sure the records are kept straight every single day.
