Center For American & British Studies (Cas)

We are located in Mp Appan Ngr in the Vazhuthacaud area of Thiruvananthapuram. We are quite close to Heera Park, which makes it easier for people to find us if they aren't from this specific neighborhood. The Center For American & British Studies, or CAS as we usually call it, is a place where we focus on language and studies related to those regions. It’s a quiet enough street most of the time, which is nice for a study center. The office itself is pretty basic. We have some bookshelves, some tables, and plenty of chairs for the students. It’s an older building, so it feels a bit more like a home than a corporate office. We like it that way. We don't have a big reception desk or anything formal. Usually, one of us will just look up from our work when someone walks in. We spend a lot of time reading and going over papers. Since we are in 695010, we get a mix of students and working professionals. Sometimes the rains here in Thiruvananthapuram make it hard for people to get to class, so we are flexible with the timings when that happens. We aren't trying to be the biggest center in the city. We just want to provide a decent place for people to come and learn what they need. It’s just a group of us who enjoy what we do. No big bells or whistles, just a regular place in Vazhuthacaud.
