Astaminds Private Limited

Our place is at No. 10 B, Sai Devi Krupa, on Iyappan Street in Ramapuram. If you know Ambattur, you know it can get quite busy, but our little corner is somewhat tucked away. It’s basically a residential-looking building where we’ve set up our office. Astaminds Private Limited started out with just a couple of desks and a lot of hope, and not much has changed in terms of how we work. We aren't big on formalities. Most of us arrive around the same time and the first thing we do is check if the water filter is full and the fans are working. It’s a typical small-team environment. We do software work, but we don't act like it's some mysterious thing. It’s just logic and typing, really. The street outside always has something going on, whether it’s the milkman in the morning or kids playing in the evening. We have some plants on the balcony that we sometimes remember to water. The office feels more like a home than a workplace sometimes, which we prefer. We don't have a big HR department or corporate policies that take up hours of our time. We just talk to each other across the room. If someone has a problem with a line of code, we all look at it together. It is a steady way to live and work here in Chennai. We just keep at it and hope the commute isn't too bad the next day.
