Presidency Junior English Nursery & Primary School

Presidency Junior English Nursery & Primary School is located at No 77/1 on South Agraharam in Periyakulam. We are right in the heart of the town, near the old parts of Periyakulam. Since we are a nursery and primary school, the building is always full of the sounds of small children. They are at that age where they are just learning how to sit still and listen. The street outside, South Agraharam, is a typical busy town street, but once the kids are inside our gates, it’s a different world. We have small classrooms that are decorated with some drawings the kids made. It’s not a very big school, which is nice because we know every child by their name. The parents often stop by to talk to us when they drop their kids off in the morning. We spend a lot of time on basic reading and writing in English, as well as some play. Theni is a beautiful area with all the greenery, and sometimes we take the kids for a little walk nearby. We don't have a lot of fancy equipment, just the basics like blocks and books. Our teachers are mostly local women who have a lot of patience for the little ones. It’s a simple, honest school where we just try to give the kids a decent start before they move on to the bigger high schools.
