Bajrang

Bajrang is located at number 12 on Athipatti Road in Alappalacheri. It’s a small town and things move a bit slower here than in the big cities. Our shop is right on the main stretch, so we see everyone passing by on their way to work or school. It’s a simple brick building that we’ve used for years. We don’t have much in the way of decoration, just the basics to get the job done. The front door sticks a little in the rainy season, but we’re used to it. Inside, the space is divided into a small counter area and a larger back room for storage and work. Most of the day is spent dealing with people from the surrounding villages. They come in looking for specific items, and we do our best to help them find what they need. We don't use any fancy computers for our inventory; it's all kept in a thick notebook on the desk. The fans hum overhead all day to keep the heat away. It can get pretty warm in the afternoons, so we usually take a short break when the sun is at its peak. We’ve known most of our regulars since they were kids. It’s that kind of place. We don't have big ambitions to expand or go global. We’re happy just being a part of Alappalacheri and providing what the local community needs from us.
