We are based right at number 15 in Sundram Nagar. Being so close to the Thanjavur Medical College means there is always something going on nearby. We handle decorations for all sorts of things, mostly local stuff around town. It’s a lot of heavy lifting and moving poles and cloth around. Most of the time, our hands are dusty or covered in bits of glitter and tape. It’s not a clean job, but we like being out and about. We started this because we knew how to put things together for events. We don’t have a big fancy showroom, just our space where we keep all the supplies. Sometimes we are up very late getting things ready for the next morning. It’s a bit tiring, but that is just how the work is. Our neighbors know us for the trucks moving in and out. We use a lot of local materials when we can find them. If someone needs something decorated, they just come by the shop and talk to us. We don’t use those big planning apps, we mostly just write things down in a notebook and get to it. Thanjavur is a good place to be. We’ve been at this for a while now, and we know which fabrics hold up and which ones don't. It is practical work, and we just try to make sure everything stays standing until the event is over.
