Our office for East India Export Import Pvt. Ltd. is located over in Rajaji Nagar, right on the Medical College Road. It’s a pretty well-known part of town, especially with the South Zone Cultural Center being so close by. Most days here start with the sound of traffic building up outside as people head toward the college. We have a modest setup inside where we handle the import and export paperwork. It’s mostly just us sitting around the desks, typing away and making sure the inventory matches what we have on the screens. The space is a bit cluttered with folders and some samples we keep on the shelves. We don't really have a big corporate lobby or anything like that. Instead, it’s just a functional room where we can focus on the work. Sometimes we walk down the road to get tea during the afternoon slump. The weather in this part of the city can get quite muggy, so we keep the windows shut most of the time. It’s a straightforward way to make a living, really. We spend our hours coordinating with different people and trying to make sure nothing gets stuck in transit. Being near the cultural center means there’s often something happening nearby, but inside our walls, it’s just the usual business of moving goods from one place to another. We’ve been here for a while and the routine suits us just fine. It is just a normal office.
