Larsen & Toubro

Our office is located at 7/22, Periyar Nagar, on the First Street just off M C Road in Thanjavur. This isn't one of those massive, shiny skyscrapers you see in the big cities. It’s a practical local office for Larsen & Toubro in this part of Tamil Nadu. We handle a lot of the local project management and site coordination from here. The building is pretty standard for the area. Inside, it’s mostly just desks, computers, and a lot of blue-prints rolled up in the corners. We don't have a fancy reception area or anyone to open the door for you. We’re usually too busy looking at spreadsheets or talking to the guys out on the sites. Thanjavur is a place with a lot of history, and we’ve been working out of this spot for a while now. The street outside can get a bit narrow when trucks are trying to pass, but that’s just how it is here. We keep things pretty simple. We show up early, have our morning meetings, and then spend the rest of the day getting through the work. There’s no corporate fluff or big speeches here. We just focus on the engineering and the numbers. Sometimes the air conditioner makes a weird rattling sound, but we just put up with it and keep working. It’s a straightforward place for people who have real work to do and don't care about the extra polish.
