Kalaimagal Cement Works

We are located right at 54 N K Road, pretty much directly across from the Parveen Theatre. It’s a landmark everyone knows, so we're easy to find. Our shop is usually a bit messy with bags and tools lying around, but we know where everything is. We handle a lot of cement work for the locals here. It’s not the cleanest job in the world, and our clothes usually show it by the end of the day. We’ve seen the area change a lot over the years, but we’ve stayed right here. Sometimes the noise from the theater crowd gets loud in the evenings, but during the day it’s mostly just the sound of our own work. We don't have a big team, just a couple of us who know the trade. People stop by to ask about materials or to get help with small building projects they have going on. We don't do much advertising; word of mouth from neighbors is usually how people find us. We try to keep things simple and honest. If we can't do something, we'll tell you straight. Our hours vary a bit depending on how much work we have piled up, but someone is usually around. It’s just a small-town business doing what we can with the space we have. The storage area in the back is where we keep the bulk of the supplies, so it’s always a bit of a trek back and forth.
