Arun Stores

Arun Stores is a local spot on Thirukkarugavur Road. We are at 58/62 in the Agraharam area. This is a quiet part of town compared to the big cities. The road stays mostly empty during the heat of the afternoon, and that’s when we usually try to rest a bit or restock the shelves. It’s a traditional kind of shop where we know almost everyone who walks in. We sell a bit of everything that people might need for their homes. The building is old and has those thick walls that keep it a little cooler inside, which is nice. We spend a lot of time just chatting with the neighbors who stop by for one or two things. It’s not a fast-paced business. We keep our records in big notebooks and try to keep everything tidy, though it doesn't always stay that way. The Agraharam is a peaceful place to work. We don't have any big advertisements or shiny lights. People know where we are because we’ve been here for a long time. Sometimes the shipments from the city arrive late, but we just manage with what we have on hand. It’s a very simple life here on Thirukkarugavur Road, just running the store and seeing the days go by.
