Yash Medical is located right here in Gopal Nagar, specifically at Shop No. 02 in the Parijaat building. If you know the area, we are just opposite the road that leads to Gograswadi. It’s a busy spot in Dombivli East. The shop isn’t huge, but we make sure we have the medicines and supplies people usually ask for. We spend a lot of our time looking through prescriptions and reaching for boxes on the high shelves. It’s a lot of standing and talking to people who are usually in a bit of a hurry or worried about someone at home. The fan hums in the corner and we keep the ledger books on the desk near the phone. Sometimes the delivery guys come in with big crates and we have to stack them quickly so there’s room for people to stand. Lane No. 01 gets quite a bit of foot traffic, so there is always noise from outside. We’ve been here for a bit now and have gotten to know the faces of the people living in the apartments nearby. It’s just a regular pharmacy life, checking dates, organizing the fridge for injections, and making sure the light outside stays on until we close. There’s no big secret to it, we just open the doors every morning and do the work that needs doing for the neighborhood. The shelves are full and the floor gets swept twice a day to keep things somewhat tidy.
