Western India Crane Service

Western India Crane Service is based in the Thakkar Building, located within the Bata Compound in the Khopat area. Our yard is where we keep the cranes and the maintenance gear when they are not out on a construction site somewhere. The compound is a bit of an old place with a lot of history, and we have our corner of it where we do all the heavy lifting prep. Keeping these machines running takes a lot of effort, so you will often see someone under a chassis with a wrench or greasing up the long cables. The office in the Thakkar Building is a simple room where we keep track of the logbooks and the operator schedules. It is a lot of paperwork to keep everything legal and safe. Khopat is a central spot for us to reach different parts of the city quickly. When a call comes in for a crane, we have to move fast to get the right rig ready and out the gate. The ground in the compound is uneven and gets muddy when it rains, but the cranes don't mind that much. We have a small crew of guys who have been working with these machines for years. We don't have a website or anything like that; people usually just know our name from seeing the cranes on various jobs around town. It is just about keeping the engines turning and the hooks moving.
