If you are looking for Vastu Vaibhav Architects, you have to head up to the second floor of the Highland Corporate Centre on High Street. Our space is in S B 166. It is not the easiest building to navigate if it is your first time here, but once you find the stairs or the lift, it is actually pretty quiet. We have been in this part of the city for a bit, and the view from the window is mostly just other rooftops and the street below. We are not a massive team, just a few of us sitting at desks covered in drawings and coffee mugs. Sometimes the phone rings and it is just someone looking for directions to another unit. We do architectural work, mostly trying to get the lines right on paper before any bricks get moved on a site. The Corporate Centre can get a bit stuffy in the afternoons, so we usually keep the windows open if it is not too dusty outside. We do not really do big presentations with fancy lights or animations. It is more about sitting down and looking at the plan until it makes sense. Vastu Vaibhav Architects is just a place where we try to solve problems without making a big fuss about it. We have some samples of stone and wood lying around that people occasionally trip over. It is a working office, not a showroom. We stay late some nights when the work piles up, but that is just part of the job.
