Vardhaman Ice Cream

We've been here in Ashok Nagar 5 for quite a while now. It started as a small idea because Kandivali East gets so hot in the summers and everyone wants something cold. Most days it’s just us keeping the freezers running and making sure the tubs are full. We don’t have a fancy shop with big signs, just a simple place where people come by after dinner. Sometimes the delivery truck is late and we get a bit worried about the stock, but it usually works out fine in the end. The neighborhood has changed a lot since we opened, more buildings now, but the kids still come in for the same flavors. We try to keep things clean and simple. Sometimes we run out of the popular stuff early on weekends. It’s just how it goes when you’re a small outfit. We live nearby too, so this feels like home. The machines can be noisy when the shop is quiet, but you get used to it. We aren't trying to be some huge chain, just Vardhaman Ice Cream serving the local folks around here. People know us by name and that’s nice. We spend most of our time checking temperatures and making sure the cones aren't soggy. It’s hard work standing all day but seeing a kid happy with a scoop makes it okay. We just keep doing what we do every day without much fuss about it. We are just a local spot doing our thing.
