Tanaji Medical& General Stores

Our shop is Shop No 4 in Gandhi Nagar, located on Pokhran Road No 2 in Thane West. It’s right opposite the Shiv Sena Shakha, which is a big landmark around here. Tanaji Medical & General Stores is a place where people stop by for everything from their daily medicine to a bottle of water or some snacks. Gandhi Nagar is a nice community, and we have been part of it for a good amount of time. The traffic on Pokhran Road can be quite heavy, but our little corner stays busy with people walking by. I spend a lot of time checking the expiry dates on the medicines and making sure the general items are stocked up on the shelves. It’s a simple business. We open early and close late because that’s when people need us. There is a lot of chatting that happens over the counter, as we know most of the families in the nearby buildings. It’s not a polished retail environment; it’s a real shop with boxes and crates here and there. Sometimes we run out of things and have to wait for the delivery truck to navigate the Thane traffic. We just try to keep things running smoothly so the neighbors have what they need. It’s an honest day's work in a part of Thane that we call home. I like the fact that people trust us enough to come back every single week for their supplies.
